古商城位于怀化市洪江区沅水之滨的犁头嘴，这里自古就是深入我国大西南腹内重要的生资集散与物流转运的咽喉之地。在这0．3平方公里的土地上，曾相继修建起数以百计的所谓窨子屋。这些房屋的建筑形制源于何处，目前社会各界的看法不一，比较一致的看法均趋向于徽商式建筑。本文从文物建筑的角度进行比对和辨析，希翼甄别其建筑属性，旨在有利于这批文物建筑的保护修缮和今后持续有效地利用。

The ancient city is located in Hongjiang District of Huaihua City, where is the throat transit for entering Southwest of China since ancient times. In this land of 0.3 square kilometers, hundreds of ancient houses have been successively built. Where the houses architecture come from exists different views at present social circle, the identical view tends to regard the houses architecture shape come from Hui style architecture. This article analyzes and compares the houses from the perspective of heritage building, hope to distinguish the nature of the building, aims to be benefit the protection and restoration of heritage buildings and continuously effective usage in the future.
