“留守儿童”作为一个新生的社会问题伴随着中国社会的城市化不断凸现，并引起了社会各界的广泛关注。很多学者对此做了大量的研究，并取得一定的成果。但这些研究在全局性、系统性、深入性、前瞻性方面还存在缺失，有些结论甚至还存在矛盾，有些内容如安全、营养等方面还未涉及，尚待进一步深入研究和探讨。

As a new social issue,‘The Left-behind Children＇ in Rural China is becoming more obvious with the urbanization of Chinese Society. Many scholars involved in relevant studies, and also get some achievement. But for all these studies lacking the overall, systematic, deep and prospective characteristics, and some important aspect such as safety and nutrition of these children were not mentioned, even some conclusion from these studies are contradictive, all these need reseached and discussed.
