徽学是改革开放以来兴起的一门新学科。重要资料的开发，国内外学术交流的加强，学术机构的建立，学科理论建设的开展以及一批高水平研究成果的取得，既是改革开放以来徽学研究的突出进展，也是徽学学科形成的显著标志。资料的整理与公布，基础性研究的加强，研究理念和视角的开放以及徽州文化生态的保护与研究等，仍是今后徽学研究发展需要解决的问题。

Huizhou Studies is a new discipline that has developed since Deng Xiaoping＇s Economic Reforms that began in 1978. Exploring important materials,strengthening international and domestic scholarly exchange,establishing scholarly organizations,developing rigorous theories, and a series of first-rate research works are all evidence of the field＇s marked development and a clear sign of the emergence of Huizhou Studies as a discipline. The processing and publication of primary documents, the strengthening of fundamental research, the broadening of research concepts and perspectives,and the research into and conservation of Huizhou＇ s cultural habitat all pose challenges for the future development of Huizhou Studies.
