同沿海几个经济区比较，北部湾广西沿岸地区总体上属于沿海“应发展欠发展”地区。按照科学发展观的要求，又好又快推进该区开放开发具有极其重要的意义。文章指出了北部湾（广西）沿岸地区发展中存在的主要障碍，分析了加快该区发展面临的良好机遇，对又好又快推进该区开放开发进程提出了构建“三大支撑体系”的政策建议。

Compared with other coastal regions, the region around Beibu Gulf in Guangxi belongs to the ＂undeveloped region that should be developed＂. According to the request of scientific concept of development, it is of great importance to accelerate the opening and development of this region. This article reveals the main obstacles existing in the development process in this region, states out the good opportunities this region is facing, and puts forward some suggestions on setting ＂three supporting systems＂ to accelerate the development here.
