中华民族传统体育是对大学生进行体育教育的重要途径之一，其形式多样，内容丰富，具有很强的文化内涵和时代价值。目前开设这一专业的高校，课程设置基本上是武术专业，其他的课程也只是作为选修课，再加上师资队伍的缺乏，使得民族传统体育在高校的发展不容乐观。为此，高校应该加强民族传统体育的挖掘与整理；强化竞技性，注重健身性，使民族传统体育活动充满观赏性；选择适合各地高校的民族传统体育项目；加强民族传统体育人才队伍建设。

Chinese national traditional sports are one of the important avenues to college students＇ physical education. They are varied in form and rich in content and have strong cultural connotations and value of the times. At present, the curriculum design of those higher educational institutions that have this specialty is mainly about martial art with the rest being optional courses only. In addition, the shortage of teaching faculty makes the development of national traditional sports not that promising. Therefore, institutions of higher learning should discover and sift national traditional sports; Enhancing the competitiveness and physical fitness can make national traditional sport activities full of entertainment; higher educational institutions should also select particular local programs and strengthen talent team building.
