先秦儒家是诗意德育的积极倡导者与践履者，其思想精华包括“性善”与“好德”的德育人性观、“效法圣贤”与“致中和”境界的德育目的观、“以善统真”与“以关促善”的德育实践观、“以诗言志”与“比德喻志”的德育言说观四个方面，不仅为建设中华民族共有精神家园提供了哲学智慧、伦理处事原则，而且对实施完整、有效的德育有着重要的启迪意义。
선진유가시시의덕육적적겁창도자여천리자，기사상정화포괄“성선”여“호덕”적덕육인성관、“효법골현”여“치중화”경계적덕육목적관、“이선통진”여“이관촉선”적덕육실천관、“이시언지”여“비덕유지”적덕육언설관사개방면，불부위건설중화민족공유정신가완제공료철학지혜、윤리처사원칙，이차대실시완정、유효적덕육유착중요적계적의의。
The Pre-qin Confucians are the advocates and performers of the poetic moral education. The ideological essence of poetic moral education of Pre-qin Confucians mainly include four aspects： the theory of moral humanity of ＂good nature＂ and ＂approval morality＂, the theory of moral education purpose for imitating the sages and reaching the realm of neutralization, the theory of moral education practice for integrating truth with good and improving kindness with beauty, the theory of moral education expression for clarifying ideas through poetry and comparing natural landscape to morality. The poetic moral education ideas of Pre-qin Confucians have not only offered the principle of philosophy and ethic wisdom for the construction of Chinese common spirit homeland, but also played a vital role for the implementation of complete and effective moral education development.
