本文介绍了目前全球规模最大的文摘数据库Scopus数据库的收录特点和功能，以“微生物组”研究主题为例，利用Scopus数据库的检索结果分析功能了解研究主题的历史发展过程．利用其保存检索式（Saved Searches）、检索通告（Search Alerts）、作者引文通告（Author Citation Alerts）、文献被引通告（Document Citation Alerts）等个性化服务功能及时掌握研究主题的研究现状和前沿。
