毛泽东教育与生产劳动相结合的思想，是在中国革命和建设的过程中逐渐形成和发展的。其基本内涵是教育与体力劳动相结合，教育与党的任务相结合，教育与具体工作相结合。它所蕴涵的“两条腿走路”的办学机制与“校企结合”、工学结合、农学结合的办学模式等等内容，对我国职业教育的发展壮大至今依然具有重要的意义。

Mao Zedong＇ s thought about combining education with productive labor has gradually taken its shape and further developed in the course of Chinese revolution and subsequent construction, whose basic intension is to com- bine education with manual labor, with the task of the party and with the concrete work. Its mechanism of running school with “two legs walking” and the pattern with combining school with enterprises, combining work with study, and combining farming with study are still of great significance to the development and expansion of vocational education in China.
