基于中国省际面板数据，本文对FDI与经济增长的关系进行了实证分析，研究结果表明，外商直接投资（FDI）对我国的经济增长具有显著的促进作用；进一步的分析显示，FDI只是通过要素投入机制而并没有通过TFP对我国经济增长产生影响；我国的金融发展并没有对经济增长产生显著影响，金融发展也并没有显著地提高FDI对我国经济增长的促进作用。

This paper analyzes empirically the relationship between FDI and economic growth, based on the panel data across Provinces of China. The results indicate that FDI has significant positive effects on economic growth of China. The further analysis shows that FDI affects the economic growth of China via factor input mechanism instead of via TFP. The effect of financial development on economic growth is not significant, and financial development has no dramatic influence in increasing the effect of FDI on economic growth of China.
