职业生涯管理是人力资源开发与管理的新模式。在社会主义市场经济条件下,设计退役运动员职业生涯管理模式,必须坚持以退役运动员自我评估和机会评估为前提、以退役运动员与体育组织利益相结合为原则、以提高退役运动员能力为核心、以政府适度宏观调控为辅助、以非政府组织扶持的社会化为方向。建立退役运动员职业生涯管理模式必须建立和健全的退役运动员就业培训制度;制订和完善其就业保护政策;加强法制建设;加大对社会的宣传力度;发挥教育系统的积极作用;同时,建立各省体育人才信息管理系统;组织进行职业生涯指导等。

Career life management is a new pattern in human resource development and management. Under the socialist market economy, designing career life management pattern for retired athletes should be based on the premise of athletes＇ self-appraisal and opportunity appraisal,on the principle of combining the benefits of both sports organizations and the retired athletes with improving the ability of retired athletes as the core,aiming at a socialized direction assisted by the non-government organizations and aided by government＇s moderate macroeconomic regulation and control. The establishment of a career life management pattern for retired athletes should include setting-up and perfecting the employment training system, drawing up and perfecting relevant employment protection policy, strengthening the legislative work, widening the social publicity, and exerting the positive role of educational system. At the same time, information management systems for athletic talents should be set up in each province and career life guidance programs should be organized.
