As a widespread custom, the folk belief in esteeming and cherishing script paper has had an important effect on the history and the culture of China. The transformation process of this belief has developed from esteeming the words＇ glamour to its connotation. Belief in esteeming and cherishing the script paper still has practical significance in constructing harmonious society.
