PBL(problem—based learning)是目前国际上较为先进的教学模式,它以学生为中心,以“问题”为核心,采用自主学习和小组合作学习相结合的方式,旨在使学生构建起扎实、全面而又灵活的知识基础,培养学生解决问题的技能和自主学习的技能。作者将PBL引入生物信息学实验教学,改革传统教学方法,教学效果和质量明显提高。本文对PBL具体做法和已取得的成.果进行了总结,对存在的问题作了分析和讨论。本研究将为生物信息学及其相关课程实验教学的改革提供重要的参考依据。

Problem -based learning (PBL) is an advanced teaching approach, which has been widely adopted in the graduate and undergraduate education in developed countries. Bioinformatics is an emerging field at the intersection of the biological and computational sciences. In order to improve teaching quality and efficiency and help students to cope with the explosion of knowledge in bioinformatics, PBL approach was adopted in bioinformatics course. This paper describes how PBL approach was applied in bioinformatics course, the advantages, disadvantages and exiting problems of PBL were discussed. The conclusion is that PBL is an effective and promising teaching approach for bioinformatics course, especially in the experimental teaching.
