均衡方法、垄断市场结构、空间参数和要素的流动性等构建了新经济地理分析经济活动聚集与扩散的基础框架，该框架的逻辑起点是规模收益递增和均衡思想。新经济地理认为经济活动的聚集与扩散是由于向心力和离心力的相互消涨以及因果循环累积机制的存在造成的。为了洞见纷繁复杂的经济活动规律，它引进了空间变量，运用DIEC建模技巧，建立了包含这两种力量和机制的中心一外围模型，并由此演绎出了其他的相关模型。

The basic frame, whose logical beginning is from increasing return to scale and thought of equilibrium, to analysis agglomeration and dispersion of the economic activity by new economic geography consists of equilibrium method, the structure of the monopolistic market, spatial parameter and the liquidity of factors. It is thought by new economic geography that the agglomeration and dispersion of the economic activity are resulted from the encountering of the centripetal force and centrifugal force as well as the mechanism of the accumulation of the cause and effects. Adding the spatial variable, both the core--periphery model including the two kinds of forces and the mechanism and the other ones from it were developed on the DIEC skill of the model establishment in order to apperceive the evolvement rule of the complex economic landscape.
