Zhongtiao Mountains, located in the southern of warm temperate zone, Shanxi, has a lot of wild medical plant as a result of its good conditions of moisture and temperature. Based on the investigation, it is now known that there are 834 species of wild medical seed plants in the region, which belongs to 435 genera and 104 families. Among them there are about 4 families, 5 genera, 8 species in Gymnospermae and 100 families, 430 genera, 826 species in Angiospermae. Moreover, the species composition, distribution, reserves and utilization of wild medical seed plant was analyzed. Finally, the strategies for the protecting, and utilizing of the wild medical seed plant resources are discussed.
