纠纷解决效果的评价标准概括起来主要有两方面：一方面是化解和消除冲突，另一方面是纠纷解决过程及结果对当事人和社会公众的行为及社会价值导向产生的影响。就纠纷解决机制本身来考虑，影响纠纷解决效果的主要因素是：纠纷解决过程和结果的公正性、解决纠纷所需代价、纠纷处理意见的效力。调解因其合意性、妥协性，不仅容易使双方当事人之间达成纠纷解决之合意，且一旦达成协议，其实效性往往会更高。虽然调解的基本原则是妥协，但在调解过程中，为达成调解合意，调解者仍要依据一定的规则。调解者以公共道德、风俗习惯、情理和法律等规范对当事人进行劝和的过程，不但有助于双方当事人消弭民事冲突的利益争夺，恢复友好关系，而且在一定程度上对民众起着影响、暗示和指导的作用，促进社会整体道德的成长。

Depending on the public morals, social customs, logical reasons and civil laws, etc. , the mediators can better eliminate civil disputes and restore friendships between both parties concerned as well as active influence or direct the general public in order to promote the general progress of social morals.
