唐代宦官奉佛之风十分兴盛，从西安碑林新藏宦官及宦官之妻墓志可以看出他们奉佛的思想根源。墓志反映，唐代宦官或为佛陀庇佑，或为禳灾灭祸，或为祛病回生，或为避“满招损”，从而虔心归佛。通过考析新出土的唐代宦官及宦官之妻墓志，可以达到“据史传以考遗刻，复以遗刻还正史传”之目的。
唐代宦官奉彿之風十分興盛，從西安碑林新藏宦官及宦官之妻墓誌可以看齣他們奉彿的思想根源。墓誌反映，唐代宦官或為彿陀庇祐，或為禳災滅禍，或為祛病迴生，或為避“滿招損”，從而虔心歸彿。通過攷析新齣土的唐代宦官及宦官之妻墓誌，可以達到“據史傳以攷遺刻，複以遺刻還正史傳”之目的。
당대환관봉불지풍십분흥성，종서안비림신장환관급환관지처묘지가이간출타문봉불적사상근원。묘지반영，당대환관혹위불타비우，혹위양재멸화，혹위거병회생，혹위피“만초손”，종이건심귀불。통과고석신출토적당대환관급환관지처묘지，가이체도“거사전이고유각，복이유각환정사전”지목적。
In the Tang Dynasty worship of Buddhism was very popular among eunuchs. A study of the newlycollected epitaphs of an eunuch and his wife in Xi＇ an Tombstone Museum reveals the ideological origin of their worship. According to the epitaph, the eunuchs in the Tang Dynasty chose to worship Buddhism either to seek protection from monks, or avoid disasters, or to recover from bad diseases, or to avoid jealousy out of being overfavored.
