The generation and development of English Insolvency Law has its unique characteristics and charm though it has never stopped to follow the trace of the earlier European countries. By tracing its historic development, we may have been greatly enlightened. In this way, this paper means to have a good probe to the current English insolvency reform made by English government and give a reasonable explanation to the issues arising in the course of the reform of Chinese Bankruptcy Law which might contribute to the justifiable assessments to the reforms made by the current decision makers by present Chinese scholars.
