The paper introduced the concept of low-carbon economy, summed up the international consensus on the low-carbon economy and set out the significance of developing low-carbon economy to slow global wanning and human survival and development. It also pointed out that China attaches great importance to the development of low-carbon economy, at the same time should give full attention to low-cost, easy operation, overall efficiency of forestry, practices and put them as the one important way to develop low-carbon economy. Finally, the paper put forward the low-carbon economy should be included in the forestry content and policy recommendations.
