＂山戎＂是我国北方游牧民族的一个古老称谓,和＂崇山＂习俗密切相关。而历史上北方各游牧部族如匈奴、东胡、蒙古,都有＂崇山＂习俗。所以＂山戎＂一词,应是对古代中国北方具有浓郁＂崇山＂习俗的各游牧部族的＂泛称＂。
＂산융＂시아국북방유목민족적일개고로칭위,화＂숭산＂습속밀절상관。이역사상북방각유목부족여흉노、동호、몽고,도유＂숭산＂습속。소이＂산융＂일사,응시대고대중국북방구유농욱＂숭산＂습속적각유목부족적＂범칭＂。
＂Shanrong＂ was an ancient appellation of the nomadic people in the north China,which had a close relation with the costom of ＂Chongshan＂（worshipping mountains）.In the history of the northern nomadic tribes such as the Huns,Eastern Hu,Mongolia,all had ＂Chongshan＂ customs.Therefore,the term＂Shan Rong＂should be the ＂Pan said＂ to all those nomadic tribes that had the ＂Chongshan＂ customs in north China.
