起于印度文明之佛教,其教理颇含有与中国固有文明相抵牾处,尤以孝观最与中国固有观念相？格,故其初至中国,中国排佛论者率多以＂不孝＂为口实而攻讦,释子为摆脱困境,为中国士庶所接受,故以四途大力发展孝论：一为比附儒典及创作伪经,二为译出及改造佛教孝经典,三为创作孝论,四为展开民间宣孝活动。经此种种努力佛教之孝论终为中国社会所普遍接受,且与儒家共同深化了中国的孝文化。

Because of originate in India,Buddhist doctrine has many shock with Chinese culture,especially in the notion of filial piety.Since it was introducted into China,Buddhism was attached and excluded by the Confucianists because＂Not Filial＂.Buddhists try to find a way to resolve their dilemma.At first,imitating Classic of Confucianism;second,translating and amending Indian Classic of Filial Piety;third,composing treatise of filial piety;fourth,carriing wide-spread publicity campaign of filial piety.Because of these hardworks,eventually Buddhism were accepted by Chinese society,and in combination with Confucianists to developed Chinese culture of Filial Piety.
