作为康方言一支的玉树话在长期的发展当中打破了藏语传统语法的一些规则。元音i和U融合；辅音的读音也有所变化；后缀音节变化，主要是弱化以及下加音素ra音的消失。

Yushul dialect,one of the sub-dialects of Tibetan Kham Dialect,has developed some new fea- tures than the Tibetan Written Grammar. The amalgamation of the vowel ＇i＇ and ＇u＇ ;the speech of some consonants have changed as well as the speech of suffixed syllables,which are weakened and dis- appeared.
