客家研究目前在海内外正呈方兴未艾之势。罗勇教授是大陆客家研究的重镇——赣南师范学院客家研究中心主任,作为大陆改革开放后第一批从事客家研究的学者之一,他不但个人研究成果颇丰,而且率领一批学术团队一起开拓了赣南客家研究这片热土,搭建起了一个在国内外客家学界有较大影响的学术平台。

Hakka studies are now in full swing around the world. Professor Luo Yong is the head of Hakka Study Center in Gannan Normal University which is an important base of Hakka studies in the mainland. Being one of the pioneer scholars taking up Hakka studies,he has not only made great achievements in his independent research,but also led a academic team in exploring Hakka studies in Gannan,and established an important academic platform for Hakka scholars home and abroad.
