鸦片战争从各个方面极大地震撼了中国千年的封建社会，清廷“天朝上国”的理念开始崩塌。国门洞开的耻辱强烈地刺激着统治阶层与知识精英，救亡图存的危机感与责任感由是萌生。林则徐、魏源等救亡先驱的开眼向洋之举开启了投石问路、承先启后、探索启蒙的民族自救运动的先河。

아편전쟁종각개방면겁대지진감료중국천년적봉건사회，청정“천조상국”적이념개시붕탑。국문동개적치욕강렬지자격착통치계층여지식정영，구망도존적위궤감여책임감유시맹생。림칙서、위원등구망선구적개안향양지거개계료투석문로、승선계후、탐색계몽적민족자구운동적선하。
The Opium War greatly shook China＇s thousand -year- old feudal society in all aspects, and the concept of Central Kingdom held by the Qing Dynasty began to fall apart. The sense of shame for the defenseless dynasty strongly hurt the ruling class and intellectual elite, generating a sense of crisis and sense of duty for national survival. The out -looking moves for salvation by such forerunners as Lin Zexu and Wei Yuan opened a new page in exploring and continuing the national salvation movement.
