课程是学生提升素质的智慧之源,因为它具有提供精神滋养、激发创造思维、完善人文品格、锻炼实践能力的基本功用。素质教育是一种新的教育思想、教育观念,而不是一门具体的课程或一种具体的方法,是通过学校的各种教学活动来进行的。文章论述了素质培养的基本规律,阐释了大学课程的基本特点,从理论和实践两个层面上具体探讨了课程对学生素质培养的机理。

Courses are channels for students to improve their quality,which have basic functions of providing spiritual nourishment,stimulating creative thinking,improving the human character and training students' practical abilities.Quality-oriented education is a new education concept and idea rather than a specific course or method.It is carried out through various teaching activities at school.We discussed basic rules of quality-oriented education,explained basic characteristics of university courses,and explored the mechanism of quality-oriented education from theory and practice levels.
