Self-taught examination system has changed the closed educational system regarding school education as its center. As the educational system with Chinese characteristics and suitable for Chinese conditions, the self-taught examination system has distinctly showed the realistic significance in constructing lifelong education system and realizing learning-oriented social objective with its unique characteristics of flexibility, openness, sociability and diversity. In the new historical period, only when the self-taught examination system further integrates into the lifelong education system and learning-oriented society, can it step onto a new stage, and play an important role in pushing forward educational equity, promoting social harmonious development, and constructing a great human resource power with its particular advantages.
