网络关系在新企业创建和成长过程中具有关键作用,但究竟何种网络特征能够促进新企业资源获取和绩效提高尚不明晰。本文以初创企业为对象,构建了关系特征、资源获取与新企业绩效之间的理论模型,利用322家成立时间在42个月内初创企业的调研数据,对理论模型和假设进行实证分析。分析结果表明,关系强度对知识资源和运营资源获取具有正影响;关系信任对知识资源和运营资源获取具有正影响;网络规模对知识资源获取具有正影响,知识资源获取对新企业财务和成长绩效具有正影响;知识资源获取对运营资源获取具有正影响;知识资源获取对运营资源获取与新企业绩效间关系具有正向的调节作用。但网络规模对运营资源获取的影响不显著,运营资源对初创企业财务和成长绩效的影响不显著。

The resource-based view believes that the valuable, rare, non-imitable, nonsubstitutable resource has much influence on a new firm’s competitive advantages and performance. Thus, resources is one of the most vital internal factors to the success of new firms, and lack of resources can be seen as perhaps the most important constraint of new firm’s survival and growth. New firms rarely possess all the resources required to seize an opportunity. Therefore, one of the crucial tasks in a new venture is to access external resources. However, it is very difficult for a new firm to acquire external resources. A broad consensus has emerged among both strategy and entrepreneurship scholars that networks play a central role in successful firm emergence and growth, and the firm's network relationships represent critical avenues for the acquisition of resources necessary for firm survival and growth. But it is still unclear that what relaitonship’s characteristics will be benefit to resource acquisition and the performance of new firm. Aiming to decrease this theory gap, this article contructs a theory model among relationship charateristics, resource acquisition and new firm performance. The data are coming from 322 new firms within 42 months. The empirical result shows that strong ties have positive impact on knowledge and operational resource acquisition; trust has positive impact on knowledge and operational resource acquisition; network size has positive impact on knowledge acquisition; knowledge acquisiton has positve impact on finiancial, growth performance and operational resource acquisition; the knowledge resource acquisition positively moderates the relationship between operational resources and new firm financial and growth perfornace. But the impact of network size on operational resouces are not significant; the relationships between operational resource ane new firm financial and growth performance are not significant. has not signifiant data fail to support the positive impact of operational resource on new firm perfornace
