本研究以天津地区图书馆员为目标群体，引入心理学的刻板印象概念从定量描述与定性分析两个角度研究图书馆员形象问题。问卷调查选取天津地区公众、图书馆事业未来职业者及图书馆馆员三类群体，采用分层抽样和偶遇抽样相结合的方式。研究得到图书馆员印象、图书馆工作印象、交往意愿三个大维度下的印象描述，从中筛选出图书馆员核心刻板印象。结果表明，人们对图书馆员职业的认识并不明确，整体偏好。对现实中的馆员印象积极但不清晰，对理想中的馆员表达出明确的高要求。

The Tianjin librarian is the target group of our study. We choose librarians in Tianjin as the researclTs target group and introduce the stereotype concept of psychology to study the librarian＇s image both from the perspectives of quantitative description and qualitative analysis. The groups, which are public, future librarians and librarians employed are chosen by the survey combining the way of stratified sampling and convenience sampling. Finally we obtain descriptions of three major dimensions： the impression of librarians, library work impression and contact desire. Among them, core stereotypes of the librarian are selected. The result shows that the image of librarians is not clear in people＇ mind, the overall impression tends to the positive side. The librarian impression of reality is positive but not clear. However, people convey high requirements to the ideal librarians in minds.
