发展现代农业是我国社会主义新农村建设的首要任务,是保障粮食安全、适应国内外市场发展、提高国际竞争力、增加农民收入的迫切需要。现代农业具有商品性、科学性、集约性、产业性的特征。针对现代农业的特征和中国的特点,在推进农业现代化的过程中,要突出抓好农业基本建设、农业服务体系建设和提高农民组织化程度等三个方面的工作。

The development of modern agriculture is the most important task of new socialist countryside construction in China and an urgent need in order to protect food security,meet the demands of domestic and international markets,improve the international competitiveness of China and increase the income of the farmers.Modern agriculture is characterized by commodity,scientificity,intensiveness as well as industrialization.With the consideration of the features of modern agriculture and the Chinese characteristics,in the process of promoting China＇s agricultural modernization,importance should be attached to issues of the following three aspects：agricultural infrastructure construction;rural service system construction and the improvement of the degree of farmers＇ organization.
