邵式平系解放后首任江西省省长。他曾担任过抗大二分校副校长、陕北公学教育长,江西共产主义劳动大学的主要创办人。他有创新的教育思想和理论,在实践中具有独特的教育特色和办学理念。他与汪东兴、刘俊秀等开创的共产主义劳动大学教育事业得到了毛泽东主席的完全赞成,受到国内外教育界的广泛关注和赞扬,他不愧为人民教育家。文章阐述了他的全日制学校与半工半读学校共同发展的教育理念;不同学历层次分级办学,实现全省普及与提高相结合的教育体系;建立统一领导,分级管理的科学管理体制;毕业生不包分配,可自主择业,为所有人进大学开辟道路的教育思想。这是他整个教育理论的一部分,以飨读者。

Shao Shiping,the first governor of Jiangxi since the founding of the People's Republic of China,had served as the Director of Teaching Affairs of Shanbei Public School and one of the major founders of Jiangxi Communist Labor University. Mr. Shao was creative not only in his educational beliefs and theories,but also in practice. The education practice of the communist labor university he had founded together with Wang Dongxing and Liu Junxiu had been highly praised by Chairman Mao Zedong as well as educators from home and abroad. The paper discussed some of his important education concepts. For example,different schools could develop should by shoulder including those for full-time students and those for part-time students; education of different degrees should be encouraged to offer their programs to students of different academic levels; a scientific management system should be established which was under unified leadership while managed by different levels; instead of guaranteeing each graduate a job,graduates should seek employment on their own so that all people may have access to higher education.
