运用文献资料法、调查法、访谈法、数理统计法、逻辑分析法对我国高校体育专业发展速度、布局、规模及科类结构进行研究，结果表明：我国高校体育专业发展速度过快，规模过大，特别是中部地区体育院校在校生人数已经明显超出了社会对体育人才的需求；低层次的重复建设又使毕业生就业难上加难。建议：教育管理部门应加强宏观调控，根据社会发展的需求和毕业生就业的实际情况来统筹安排体育类专业的发展速度；各省教育主管部门应充分考虑本省的经济发展速度及人才供需状况增设体育类专业的数目；严格执行审批程序，规范新增体育类专业院校的软件和硬件条件，避免低层次重复建设。

Literature review, survey, interview, mathematical statistics and logical analysis are employed in this paper to research the development speed, layout, scale and disciplinary structure of physical education major in Chinese colleges and universities. Research findings indicate： the development speed is too high and the scale too big, especially in central China and the low - level redundant development makes it harder for physical education majors to find a job upon graduation. It is suggested that the education administrative department should enhance its macro - control and control the development speed according to the social development demand and the practical employment situation, the provincial education administrative department should take into full consideration the provincial economic development speed and talent supply situation to consent to more colleges offering physical education courses and that the low -level redundant development should be abandoned.
