Based on building a resource - economical and environmental - friendly society, the thesis describes the significant meaning of protecting the environment in foreign trade. Furthermore, it explains the mechanism how foreign trade will affect the environmental protection by the analysis of environment effect in foreign trade and the construction of the transmission mechanism analytical framework, which lays a solid foundation for dealing with the coontinated development between the environment and the trade properly.
