This paper introduced the design of urban vehicle recognition synthetic application system.By means of several technologies such as image processing,pattern recognition and network communication,the system acquires real-time collecting of traffic data of vehicle,and then completes traffic control and management and police synthetic operation by computing of software.The system has been in motion,it has low cost and credible running and goodexpansibility and many other virtues,so it has the promoted value extremely.
