学习进程是当前美国科学教育研究的热点问题。它是关于学生某一核心知识及相关技能、能力、实践活动在一段时间内进步发展历程的一种假定性描述,包含学习目标、发展变量、成就水平、学习表现、成就评价5个基本要素。其主要特征为:基于大量研究;围绕基础、核心、生成性学科知识和实践活动;具有实证性;依赖于适当的课程与教学;强调进步路径的多样性等。学习进程可以有效促进课程、教学与评价及其相互联系与一致性,沟通学习研究与课堂教学实践,对我国科学教育实践与研究具有重要的借鉴和指导性意义。

Learning Progressions(LPs) is a new trend of research in science education in the United States. It is defined as a hypothesis description about how students making progress in their understanding and using a core scientific concept and related skill,ability and practical activity during a period of time,which involves five essential components of learning goals,progress variables,levels of achievements,learning performances and assessments.It contains five key characteristics.(a) being based on current research,(b) focusing on ideas and practices which are fundamental and productive for science learning,(c) empirical foundations, (d) depending on curriculums and instructions,(e) emphasizing the multiple consequences of progress. Learning progressions can effectively promote the consistence of curriculum,teaching and evaluation and build a bridge between learning research and classroom teaching,which should have many implications to improve the research and practice of science education in China.
