来自于社会的合法性期待,是包括宗教组织在内的各种社会组织得以生存与发展的前提。汉传佛教寺院的发展历史表明,宗教组织在发展过程中会遇到来自于组织内外两个方面的合法性压力。传统法律和宗教政策各种规范性制度安排,便从化解寺院与社会和国家之间的矛盾、提振寺院道风等角度,表达了官方意志对宗教组织的合法性要求。而这种合法性要求,体现了利用和限制并重的过程中,尊重宗教组织内部自律等特点。

The expectation of the social legitimacy,is the premise of the survival and development for all kinds of social organizations including religious organizations.The history Chinese Buddhist temples＇shows that religious organizations encounter legal pressures inside and outside the organizations in the process of development.Traditional laws,religious policy and a variety of institutional arrangements,through resolving the contradiction between the temples with the society and country,and through promoting the moral culture of temples express the will of the government and its legal requirements for religious organizations.While the legal requirements,reflects that the government respects the autonomy and other characteristics within religious organizations in the process of its usage and limitations.
