论文通过对武威博物馆藏的喜金刚与大黑天金铜造像特征及其背景的分析.并对照敦煌第465窟及相关造像义理与风格,否定了这组塑像制作于明代说,其制作之地极可能是在13世纪中期的西藏,并证实了它们在汉藏关系史上的重要意义:武威塑像似乎与萨迦班智达和八思巴有着密切关系,萨班极有可能在举行喜金刚坛城仪轨时使用过这组金铜佛像。

Having analyzed the iconographic features and social context of the gilt-bronze images of Havaira and Mahakala collected in Wuwei Museum, this article, making a comparison with the style and composition of murals of Cave 465 Mogao Grottoes, got a conclusion that the pair of statues seems to be produced in mid-thirteenth century's Tibet instead of it being made in the Ming Dynasty. The author thinks that the pair of statues have a very important meaning in the history of relationship between Han-Chinese and Tibetan, which appears to have a closer relation with Tibetan monk Sa-skya Pandita and 'phags-pa. On which the author found a conjecture that Sa-skya Pandita had used them as Yi-dam deities at the Hevajra rituals.
