20世纪初，国内译名研究进入高潮期。章士钊、胡以鲁、容挺公、朱自清等译者就译名的音译和义译展开了激烈的论战。两个阵营虽各执一端，而作为译者，论战的参与者在阐述自己的观点时均凸显了各自的主体意识。本文借助近年来对译者主体性的研究成果，从现代译论的角度分析了论战双方的译者主体性体现及其观点的形成原因，并从译者的自身意识、文化意识和读者意识三个方面对译名问题进行了探讨。

In the early 20th century, studies on nominal translation in China reached its Peak, marked by a well-known debate between two groups of modem translators on ＂phonological translation or semantic translation＂. The different views on nominal translation reflected particular translators＇ own subjectivities, which foretold studies on the translator＇s subjectivity in the late 20th century till the present day. This paper analyzes how the translator＇ s subjectivity is reflected in the two opposing camps and discusses related issues on nominal translation in reference to the translator＇s awareness of his own self, of his own culture, and of his own readers.
