语料库研究已使短语学确立为一个专门学科领域。但是俄罗斯学者早在20世纪初就开始了短语研究，并创设了一套精密的概念体系及分析框架。本文将该研究传统称为经典短语学，评述其主要理论模型和概念，分析其学术渊源和承继关系。文章还集中讨论经典短语学赖以建立的核心底层概念和分析标准，包括词的可搭配性、形式的固定性、短语单位的意义非合成性、短语序列的词汇化等。这些概念和标准为短语研究提供了一定范围内可资借鉴的视角与方法，但存在不少局限性。需要与语料库驱动的短语学整合。文章最后分析了短语学的跨学科特点以及由此引起的研究范畴与方法问题，并提出了相应对策。

Corpus.linguistics in recent years has established phra- seology as an independent subject discipline within linguistics. But Russian scholars embarked on phraseological studies as early as the beginning of the 20th century. This paper, referring to the Russian line of inquiry as the classical phraseology, sets out to address its theoretical models, analytical frameworks as well as its succeeding development. The paper spells out underlying concepts and analytical apparatus of the classical phraseology, including the collocability, formal fixedness, non-compositionali- ty, and lexicalization of a phaseological unit. Whilst these con- cepts and apparatus have provided useful reference points, theoretical perspectives and practical methods for phraseological studies, they suffer weaknesses and limitations, suggesting a need for integration with corpus-driven phraseology. The paper finally addresses interdisciplinary boundaries of phraseology and proposes measures to cope with problems emerging in the research field.
