本研究首先构建喻义对等翻译的概念整合理论模型,然后对自建语料库中科技英语喻义认知照意汉译策略的多种对应关系进行了系统的数据统计,最后对科技英语喻义的各种认知照意汉译策略进行了定量研究、定性分析和例证阐释。研究表明:影响科技隐喻认知的诸多主客体因素在各种语言中存在着极大的相似性,因此认知照意汉译科技英语喻义是首选也是优选的有效策略。

This paper, based on the model of conceptual integration theory (CIT) for cognitive equivalence translation of metaphorical meanings constructed by the researcherhimself, conducted a systematic statistical corpus analysis of data collected from a self-constructed corpus on various corresponding relations between the cognitive composition of English of science and technology (EST) metaphoric meaning and English-Chinese (E-C) translation strategies. The study covered both quantitative and qualitative analyses of various meaning - based strat- egies with plenty exemplifications. The findings suggest that- meaning-based strategy is the first and best choice for E-C translation of EST metaphoric meaning because in different languages there are great similarities of many agentive and contextual factors affecting metaphorical cognition of science and technology.
