2002年以来扬州进入快速发展时期。以乡镇为研究单元,利用空间自相关方法和坎贝尔-张指数,研究了扬州市域在快速发展过程中的经济空间极化现象。研究表明：2002年以来扬州市经济空间极化迅速增强,南北差距显著增大,经济发展的地域集聚特征明显,经济格局的空间重塑特征显著;空间溢出效应、交通格局的改变是扬州经济空间极化的主要影响因素;邗江撤县改区后其所属乡镇经济发展速度放缓。

The focus of this research is to examine spatial polarization and autocorrelation of economy under the backdrop of rapid development in Yangzhou City.Townships that are based on GDP data for the years of 2002—2008 were used as the basic spatial units of analysis.Level of economic development and economic growth rate were evaluated with KZ index,ESDA,Nich method and specific gravity method.The research reveals that： the feature and the trend of spatial polarization,north-south gap,spatial conglomerate and change of economic development pattern has been obvious since 2002 in Yangzhou City;the main factors which impact spatial polarization of economy in Yangzhou City are the spatial spillover effect and the evolvement of regional traffic pattern;the speed of economic development has been decelerated in Hanjiang district since 2002.
