Hu Sheng, born in March 1969 in Haicheng, Liaoning Province,graduated from Liaoning University＇s Department of Chinese in 1995 with a MA, and from Chinese Department of Beijing Normal University in 1998 with a PhD. He had studied under Huang Yan-bai, Zhang Jun, Zhu Mei-shu and Dong Wen-cheng. In 2004 he was promoted to the rank of Professor exceptionally.
