尽管莎士比亚在其所有作品中只字未提柏拉图的名字，但柏拉图遗风却比比皆是。本研究发现，在莎士比亚的艺术世界里，野心、仇恨和权利等既是现实世界的经验表达，也是永恒和真理的影子；而爱，不但是对感官肉欲的渴望，更是对美和理性的追求和向往。在消除了虚幻的非理性情感之后，灵魂靠着理智的力量向上飞升，去寻找永恒的真实和存在，从而形成了栩栩如生的柏拉图式灵魂上升之旅。莎翁由此对影子、美、爱、理智和理念等柏拉图宇宙图景进行了寓意深刻的描绘。

Platonism is omnipresent in Shakespeare＇s works though the name is never uttered explicitly. As this research manifests, earthly issues, such as ambition, hatred, power, etc. , are both empirical representations of the reality and the shadows of illusion, while love connotes not only a lust for physical satisfactions but also a fascination with beauty and rationality. Upon the abolishment of irrational passions, the soul ascends towards eternal reality and being via the assistance of reason, which forms a lively journey of the soul in critical Platonic sense. Consequently, Shakespeare draws a meaningful landscape of the Platonic cosmos consisting of shadow ,beauty,love,rationality, idea,etc.
