早期京派作家在动荡的年代中寻求内心的宁静,于悲苦的现实里体味生活的乐趣,主张闲适自在的趣味主义和平和冲淡的隐逸气息,但又并未坠入低俗与颓废。他们因众生可敬与一切皆空的矛盾生命观念、亦梦亦醒与不生不死的苦闷中年心态和生死轮回与冲淡死亡的佛禅死亡意识,＂在不完全的现世享乐一点美与和谐＂,形成了一种独特的＂苦中作乐＂的生死美学,作品结构自由松散、漂浮流转。

Early Beijing School writers in turbulent era in search of inner tranquility,appreciate the joy of life in the miserable reality,advocate leisure tastes doctrine of peace and dilute the flavor of the recluse,but they did not fall into vulgar and decadent.Because of the life concept of contradictions,depressed middle-aged mind and dhyana consciousness of death,they ＂enjoyed a little of beauty and harmony in uncompleted real world＂ and shaped a unique esthetics on life and death,＂seeking pleasure of pains＂.Their works’ structure is free and loose,and the language tends to be concise,full of thoughts of meditation.
