Dan Dang; Zen; become a monk; social reality
担当是先凭正统儒术而踏上人生之旅的,历经沧桑,才预感明朝不可避免的亡国结局,在绝望中沿着老庄而归禅释。但“先”者未死,“后”者方生,儒禅相依相克:由儒家思想所滋生的济世抱负虽然破灭,却潜藏于心灵的深处;而一切空无的禅旨虽诱出的遁世观念,却不能令他忘却悲惨世界中受难的人民。在黄卷青灯的禅房,依然发出“天涯近状有谁知”的浩叹!担当脆弱的心,背负着中国士人千载的沉重积压,还要面对无望的现实。走投无路,只好藏身鸡足山借酒浇愁,寄情于诗书画。其中既有担当心中的隐痛,更有对准“曲人”的投枪!

담당시선빙정통유술이답상인생지려적,력경창상,재예감명조불가피면적망국결국,재절망중연착로장이귀선석。단“선”자미사,“후”자방생,유선상의상극:유유가사상소자생적제세포부수연파멸,각잠장우심령적심처;이일절공무적선지수유출적둔세관념,각불능령타망각비참세계중수난적인민。재황권청등적선방,의연발출“천애근상유수지”적호우!담당취약적심,배부착중국사인천재적침중적압,환요면대무망적현실。주투무로,지호장신계족산차주요수,기정우시서화。기중기유담당심중적은통,경유대준“곡인”적투창!
Dan Dang first followed the traditional Confucianism and through his arduous life knew the unavoidable collapse of the Ming dynasty. In despair, Dan Dang followed Zhuang Zi to Zen. However, Confucianism and Zen were not the same, and Dan Dang still had some remaining ambition produced by some Confucian ideas. He in his meditation could not forget the worldly sufferings and worries. His burying himself like a recluse in drinking and in painting and writing poetry in Jizu Mountains was a truthful reflection of his troubled soul.
