通过对天津贫困人口的随机样本的分析，探讨了社会支持的数量、质量和社会支持网的网络结构对贫困人口的身心状况的影响。研究发现，社会支持的数量对城市贫困人口的身心状况没有影响。社会支持的质量则对贫困人口的身心状况有正向的影响。社会支持网的异质性越高，趋同性越低，生活满意度越高。这些指标对身体健康则没有影响。但网络中高于贫困人口的收入水平的成员越多，身心状况越差。就各种因素影响身心状况的强度来看，与收入相关的几个变量影响最大。

Social support networks are central to the physical and mental conditions. Over the past decades, there have been many empirical findings in the field. They can be divided into two sections： One section explained the physical and mental condition quantity and quality of social support, but ignores the structure of social support networks. The other takes the stucture of social support networks into account, hut ignores the former. The measurement of the structure of social support networks is almost from the database for other purposes, which affects the validity of the measurement. By analyzing the random sample of the urban poverty- stricken population in Tianjin, China which were collected for the exact purpose of researching the social support networks of China＇ s urban poverty-stricken population, the paper explores the impact of the quantity and quality of the social support and the structure of social support networks on the physical and mental conditions of China＇s urban poverty-stricken population. It proves that the quantity of social support has no impact on the physical and mental conditions of the poor in Tianjin. Among the three indicators measuring the quality of social support, network＇s average income and the average strength of relationship have a significant positive impact on life satisfaction. That is to say, the higher the network＇ s average income level and the average strength of relationship of the network members, the worse the mental conditions of the poor. But the average occupational score in the ego＇s social support networks members have no significant influence on life satisfaction. All the three indicators have a positive impact on the physical condition, that is, the worse the average income level, the average strength of relationship and occupational score of the network members, the higher themental conditions of the poor. Among the five indicators of the structure of social support networks, three indicators have a significant influence on the mental conditions of the poor： the higher the heterogeneity of occupation of social support network and the lower the income homophily network, the greater the life satisfaction. These two indicators have no effect on physical health. But the greater the number of network members whose income level is higher than the ego in the whole networks, the worse the physical and mental conditions of the poor. Especiallly, Several variables related to income have a strongest impact on the physical and mental conditions of the pcor. For example, the proportion of income higher than the respondents in the social support networks has the strongest impact on both life satisfaction and physical health. The second strongest is the average income level of the social support network, which is related to specificity of the poverty-stricken population and different from previous findings.
