水族在长期与大自然和谐共存的生产活动中，创造了丰富多彩的祭祀舞蹈文化。在祭祀舞蹈里，水族把耕、播、收、藏的“生”与“养”的丰实如意当做其最高目的，把天地间的精神投入去促成人人关系、人天关系的和谐，求取风调雨顺、五谷丰登、国泰民安、人畜兴旺，实现人与自然的和谐统一。水族稻田祭祀仪式舞蹈作为一种文化形态，其不断变化、不断创新，彰显充满生命的活力，成为蕴含人与舞蹈互相关联的永恒话题。
수족재장기여대자연화해공존적생산활동중，창조료봉부다채적제사무도문화。재제사무도리，수족파경、파、수、장적“생”여“양”적봉실여의당주기최고목적，파천지간적정신투입거촉성인인관계、인천관계적화해，구취풍조우순、오곡봉등、국태민안、인축흥왕，실현인여자연적화해통일。수족도전제사의식무도작위일충문화형태，기불단변화、불단창신，창현충만생명적활력，성위온함인여무도호상관련적영항화제。
The Shui ethnic people have developed a rich and colorful dance culture of offering sacrifices during their production activities in harmony with nature. In the actions of plowing, sowing, harvesting, and crops-storing, the Shui people combine ＂ cultivating crops＂ with ＂good living＂ in the dance to balance the relationship among human beings and between human and nature. They dance to pray for good weather, abundant harvest, a life in peace, the growth of population and thrived stock breeding, and most importantly a balance between human and nature. The Shui people~ dance is one of the cultural forms with rich contents and vitality, embodying the everlasting theme concerning humans and dances.
