修复策略是译员在传译过程中对自己的传译行为做出的后续调整,频现于学生译员的交替传译实践。它不仅反映了译员在口译过程中的种种决策行为,而且对译语的最终质量有重要影响。本研究分析了31名学生译员在英汉交替传译任务中修复策略的使用情况,尝试阐释了交替传译任务中修复策略的使用机制,发现修复策略在使用过程中译语依次经历由最初版本、过渡版本到最终版本的表达过程,体现了译员不断决策的过程。

The repair strategy, frequently used by trainee interpreters,operates when the interpreter makes any correction or adjustment during or after s/he produces a target language utterance. It not only influences the quality of interpreting, but refleets choices made and taken by interpreters during the process. Based on data analysis of 31 trainee interpreters on a consecutive English-Chinese interpreting task, the present study attempts to explain the on-going mechanism of the use of the repair strategy. It is revealed that as a decision-making process, the employment of repair strategy is seen in the process of modification of the interpreted versions which involves changes from the original version to one or more tentative versions and the final version.
