《汉语大词典》等释“鄞鄂”为“边界”“形体”义,并认为《参同契》中的两处“鄞鄂”亦是此义。此释有两处不足:首先,“鄞鄂”的内涵要比上述释义丰富得多;其次,以《参同契》句子为例不妥,《参同契》之“鄞鄂”在炼丹术中是专门术语,有其特定的专门语义。“鄞鄂”源自垠鄂写法,垠鄂包括凹凸状纹饰、开放空间或器物、某空间的四周高起貌等含义。后两种含义为各种词典所无,但它们恰恰决定了“鄞鄂”用作道教炼丹术语时的含义,即表示炼内丹的神室和炼外丹的容器。而《中华道教大辞典》及其他专业词典将“鄞鄂”理解为元神和根蒂等,是借代或是其他比喻的修辞方式,或是空间重合的另外说法。

《한어대사전》등석“은악”위“변계”“형체”의,병인위《삼동계》중적량처“은악”역시차의。차석유량처불족:수선,“은악”적내함요비상술석의봉부득다;기차,이《삼동계》구자위례불타,《삼동계》지“은악”재련단술중시전문술어,유기특정적전문어의。“은악”원자은악사법,은악포괄요철상문식、개방공간혹기물、모공간적사주고기모등함의。후량충함의위각충사전소무,단타문흡흡결정료“은악”용작도교련단술어시적함의,즉표시련내단적신실화련외단적용기。이《중화도교대사전》급기타전업사전장“은악”리해위원신화근체등,시차대혹시기타비유적수사방식,혹시공간중합적령외설법。
Abstract:Dictionaries, such as Great Chinese Dictionary,explain Yin E 鄞鄂 as boundary and body, in them, it' s believed Yin E 鄞鄂 in can tong qi exactly has the same meaning. There are two defects: firstly, the connotation of Yin E 鄞鄂 is richer than the above interpretations; secondly, it is not appropriate to cite sentences from Can tong qi because Yin E in it is a term in alchemy with particular meaning. Yin E 鄞鄂derives from its homophone which means uneven( but perhaps regular)ornamentation, an open space or utensil, and high on every side as a space. The last two meanings can not be found in all the dictionaries. However, they determine the significations of Yin E 鄞鄂, while some special dictionaries interpret it as Yuan Sben and Gen Di ( root and base) and so on in terms of metonymy, metaphor, or spatial overlap.
