本文旨在从答题效度角度验证英语专四阅读理解测试是否考察了其所期待考察的内容。笔者向两个英语专业班学生发放了根据考试规范制定的答题策略问卷。学生一边回答2007年专四阅读理解试题一边回答调查问卷。53份有效问卷分析结果显示该阅读理解测试较好完成了考察所要考察的内容,但值得注意的是个别策略使用频率很低。研究结果有助于改进专四。

The paper intends to validate the Reading Comprehension Subtest of the Test for English majors, Band 4 from the perspectives of response validity. The author prepared and administered questionnaires of test-taking strategies based on the test specification to English majors of two classes. The respondents were taking the Reading Comprehension Subtest of the TEM 4 in the year of 2007 and were filling the questionnaires at the same time. The results of the 53 valid questionnaires show that the subtest relatively successfully tests what it is supposed to measure, but it is worth noting that a few strategies are considerably infrequent. The implication may facilitate the revision of the TEM 4.
