对10790名在广州市工作的大学毕业生的起薪情况调查的结果显示，在毕业生的学历、学校、性别、专业、学用结合性、家庭住址、学习成绩、综合素质等因素中，学历对毕业生的起薪影响最大，其后依次是学校、综合素质和学习成绩，而性别、学用结合性、专业和家庭住址对起薪影响很小。研究表明，当就业竞争增加时，学校、综合素质和性别对起薪的影响作用增大。

This paper presents an investigation on the starting salary of 10790 college graduates working in Guangzhou. The results show that, education, school, gender, major, job matching status, family residence, scholastic record as well as comprehensive quality of a graduate all have affect on their starting salary. Among these factors, education has the greatest affect on the starting salary, followed by school, comprehensive quality and scholastic record, whereas gender, joh matching status, major and family residence have little af- fect. The investigation shows that when the employment situation is severe, the impacts of school, comprehensive quality and gender on starting salary increase. Based on the research results, a series of suggestions are given.
