本文基于网络结构嵌入理论,研究了网络结构不同维度对企业创新行为的影响。利用331份企业有效样本数据进行统计分析,对本文的理论模型进行了检验。实证研究结果表明:关系强度、网络位置和网络密度均对渐进式创新产生显著正向影响,而对突变式创新产生显著负向影响;网络异质性对渐进式创新产生显著负向影响,但对突变式创新产生显著正向影响。

As the innovation model in the network economy evolves from simple linear and interactive model to the network model,enterprises need to transform themselves from closed innovation to open innovation.Network is an important environmental trait.A firm's innovation is embedded in the social structure,which is embedded in its various network ties with other organizations.Many scholars have raised concerns about the impact of embedded network structure on innovation performance.However,a firm can exhibit different behaviors because resource flows between firms and a firm's ability of control over resources are different and embedded in the network.In addition,firms have different innovation capability because a firm's network can affect the cognitive approximation and concordance for other firms.Therefore,the embedded network structure will not only affect the innovation performance but also the innovative behavior.Some scholars have theoretically discussed the impact of a firm's embedded network structure on incremental innovation and radical innovation.However,these findings are not sufficient.First,Empirical studies thoroughly investigate the effect of different network structures on innovation are still missing. Consequently,in the first part,based on the theories of network structure embeddedness,we investigated how the four dimensions of network embeddedness,including relationship intensity,network position,network intensity and network heterogeneity,influence incremental innovation and radical innovation respectively,in addition,we established a direct model of network's different dimensions' effect on innovation. In the second part,firstly we described the data collection methods and the sample structure.Then we measured the variables involved in the model and tested their reliability and validity. In the third part,based on the sample data from 331 companies,the statistical test was carried out to test the theoretical model.The empirical results shows that: relationship intensity,network position and network density all have significant and positive effect on incremental innovation,but have negative effect on radical innovation,meanwhile,network heterogeneity has significant and negative effect on incremental innovation,but has positive effect on radical innovation. In the fourth part,we summarized the conclusions.In general,the findings show that the embedded network structure of firms is an important determinant for innovation behaviors.The different characteristics of embedded network play significantly differences impact on innovation behavior.Therefore there is no optimal network structure type for innovation behavior.The improvement of network intensity and network position centrality will help firms to increase the behavior of incremental innovation,but which may also make firms deeply embed in the network,and subject to the existing network rules and custom,which are not conducive to heterogeneity information,and reduce the chance of radical innovation.Therefore,firms should increase partner diversity,moderately enhance network heterogeneity to avoid network lockout,and improve the radical innovation.
